short north | where fun meets fine art
When Time Out New York recently called Columbus the "San Francisco of the Midwest," Short North is clearly what they had in mind. The tightly packed brick buildings along High Street (many dating back to the early 1900s) are home to quite a few of the city's top restaurants, galleries and shops. And it's one right after another, so you don't really need a destination ... just an appetite, an open mind and a few hours. There's really no bad time to check out Short North, but the first Saturday of every month is the popular "Gallery Hop."
