Grandview Heights
Just west of the Short North you'll find Grandview Heights, a neighborhood with a small-town feel but an urban attitude. Another popular destination for young professionals, Grandview boasts some excellent retail and restaurants. Stop by Stauf's a Grandview institution for some of the best coffee in the city before grabbing a gourmet sundae at Jeni's.

German Village & Brewery District
Downtown's southern neighbors, German Village and the Brewery District are also steeped in history. Lined with brick streets and plenty of charm, these neighborhoods also have plenty going on. Stop by Thurman Cafe for a huge burger, grab a cream puff at Schmidt's or head to the Book Loft and wander through 32 rooms of discounted new books and music.

Short North
Just north of Downtown, the Short North is Columbus' "art and soul." Known for its art galleries, the neighborhood also boasts some of the top restaurants, boutiques and live music venues in Central Ohio all under the ubiquitous Short North arches. Don't miss the monthly Gallery Hop, one of Columbus' favorite nights out for over 25 years.

Arena District
One of Columbus' newest districts is also one of its best places for a night out. Sample the eclectic foods at the North Market, take in a hockey game with the Columbus Blue Jackets, see a concert at The LC Pavilion, catch a movie at the Arena Grand, or hit up some of the hottest restaurants and nightlife venues in the city.

University District
Home to the largest university in the country, the University District has plenty to offer. Start at the South Campus Gateway for shopping, food and the cheapest movie ticket in town at the Gateway Film Center. Head north on High Street and you'll find Ohio State's new student union, and continue to the Wexner Center, a world renowned arts institution filled with stuff you can't find anywhere else. Make sure to drop by Lane Avenue at least once on gameday for some of the best people-watching in town.

Clintonville
The first neighborhood north of Ohio State, Clintonville is home to some of Columbus' coolest young professionals and artsy free spirits. With access to some of the best bike paths, diverse local shops and some great neighborhood watering holes, Clintonville is a classic tree-lined, walkable city neighborhood.
